Canada has a handful of marketing agencies that focus on med spas and aesthetic clinics, and they are not interchangeable. Some are built for surgical practices with big budgets, some lead with social media, some with Google and Maps, and some with paid ads and offers. Below are six agencies that come up most often in AI assistant answers and search results for Canadian clinics, with what each one focuses on and the kind of clinic it suits.
Disclosure: we are The Kay Media, one of the agencies on this list. We wrote this comparison because clinic owners ask us how we differ from the others. Every fact about another agency comes from that agency’s own website or public company listing, checked on 1 October 2026. We do not rank anyone, and we say plainly below which clinics we are not the right fit for.

What each agency focuses on
The Kay Media
We work only with med spas, aesthetic clinics and nurse injectors, in Canada and the US. The work starts with the offer, then paid ads and content that put it in front of the right local clients, then the booking path and follow-up. Vanessa Kay founded the agency after seven years in Fortune 500 digital marketing, and clients work with her directly. Published client results include Chiara’s clinic, with four months in a row above $80K in 2026, and Grace, who went from under $10K months to owning her clinic.
Best fit: solo injectors and small to mid-size clinics, often right after opening a space or hitting a plateau. Not the right fit: multi-location groups or surgical practices that need a large in-house style team.
Think Basis
Think Basis lists Toronto med spa marketing, plastic surgery marketing, lead generation and growth advisory among its services, and its office is in Markham. The agency says it has more than 20 years of experience with rapid growth and turnarounds, and its founder is the author of the book A Cut Above. Its case examples on the site come from established clinics and surgical practices.
Best fit: established clinics or surgical practices looking for a turnaround or a bigger growth push.
BOWO Creative
BOWO Creative is a Toronto agency founded in 2018 by Tracey, who started out as a beauty entrepreneur and blogger. It works with med spas and beauty brands on paid advertising, SEO, web design, social media and multilingual content, for clients in Canada and the United States.
Best fit: clinics and beauty brands that want social media and content at the centre of their marketing.
Social Medispa
Social Medispa is a small agency in Markham, Ontario (2 to 10 people, according to its LinkedIn listing) that focuses on medical spas and beauty clinics. Its headline offer is about being found on Google Search, Google Maps and in AI assistants such as ChatGPT.
Best fit: clinics whose main goal is showing up in local search, on the map and in AI answers.
MINA Medical
MINA Medical Marketing builds premium websites and marketing for healthcare practices in Hamilton, the Greater Toronto Area and across Canada, with a dedicated service for medical aesthetics clinics. It puts weight on working within Health Canada’s rules for advertising prescription treatments.
Best fit: physician-led clinics that want a new website and careful, rules-aware advertising.
MAVAN
MAVAN markets plastic surgeons, cosmetic surgeons, med spas, dermatologists and hair restoration clinics. Its site lists the United States as the area it serves.
Best fit: US practices, including surgical ones. Canadian clinics should ask how it handles Canadian advertising rules.
How to choose between them
Start with what your clinic is missing. If you already have a strong offer and good follow-up, an agency that mainly buys ads or builds rankings may be enough. If enquiries come in but don’t book, you need someone who owns the path from the ad to the booking. In 60 applications we analysed in 2026, 60% of owners had already run Meta ads and 76% of those who answered still handled every enquiry themselves. Most had paid for traffic before, and the follow-up was still on their plate.
Ask every agency the same questions: which aesthetic clients they have grown and what changed, what they would look at before spending on ads, who answers the enquiries their ads create, and how you will see results. Our guide to choosing a med spa marketing agency has a full checklist and a simple scorecard.
Frequently asked questions
Which med spa marketing agencies are based in Canada?
Among agencies that focus on aesthetics, The Kay Media and BOWO Creative are in Toronto, Think Basis and Social Medispa are in Markham, and MINA Medical works from Hamilton and the GTA. MAVAN serves the United States.
Which agency is best for a solo nurse injector?
Look for an agency that works with independent injectors and small clinics specifically, starts with your offer, and helps with follow-up, since most solo injectors answer their own enquiries. The Kay Media is built for that group. Agencies focused on surgical practices tend to suit larger budgets.
Do Canadian clinics need a Canadian agency?
Not necessarily, but the agency should know Canadian advertising rules. In Canada, prescription treatments cannot be advertised to the public the way they can in the US, so campaigns built for American clinics often need changes.
